Riders Choice AUSyouthcycle is an epic cycling journey of over 15,500km to circumnavigate mainland Australia. Unassisted and starting from the Gold Coast on 7 August 2009, the trip will encompass five months of cycling through some of the most isolated and challenging terrain on the planet while visiting spectacular regional Australia and its communities.  

 

The cyclists Nic Cuthbert and Matthew Sladden will use the opportunity to support efforts for youth suicide prevention and to raise awareness of mental health issues.  They will do this by promoting the use of online technology provided by the Inspire Foundation at Reachout.com to have positive outcomes for mental well being.  Riders Choice AUSyouthcycle will communicate with school groups, community leaders and the general public to promote Reachout.com and encourage young Australians to live healthy active lives.
